Recipe of Today: Christmas Wreath Cookies
Ingredients:
- 1 cup butter, softened
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- ¼ cup whipping cream
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsps matcha green tea powder
- 1 cup white chocolate, melted
- dried cranberries
- chopped nuts (pecans or almonds work well)
Instructions:
- In the mixing bowl of your Kitchenin KM50 Stand Mixer, add softened butter and sugar powder. Cream together until the mixture is light and fluffy.
- Pour in the whipping cream gradually, ensuring it's well incorporated.
- Slowly add flour and matcha green tea powder to form a smooth, green dough.
- Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm it up.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F in advance.
- Take the chilled dough and roll it into small balls. Place them on a baking sheet, leaving enough space between each.
- Flatten each ball slightly and create a hole in the center, forming a wreath shape.
- Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the edges turn lightly golden.
- While the cookies are cooling, melt the white chocolate in a heatproof bowl over simmering water or in the microwave.
- Dip the top of each cooled cookie into the melted white chocolate. Sprinkle chopped nuts and dried cranberries over the white chocolate while it's still soft.
- Allow the cookies to set until the white chocolate hardens. Serve and enjoy!
