Recipe of Today: Strawberry Mousse Cake
Ingredients:
- 9 fresh strawberries
- 1 ¼ cups Oreo crumbs
- 3 tbsps melted butter
- 1 ½ cups cream cheese
- ¼ cup powdered sugar
- 1 ¼ cups whipping cream
- ⅓ cup milk
- 0.5 oz unflavored gelatin
- ⅓ cup strawberry jam
Instructions:
- Mix Oreo crumbs with melted butter. Press the mixture into the mold. Freeze for 10 minutes.
- In the mixing bowl of your Kitchenin KM50 Stand Mixer, combine cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Add whipping cream and mix well.
- Divide the cream cheese mixture in half.
- For the first portion, add gelatin mixture (3 tbsps hot milk + 1 tsp gelatin). Pour into the mold and freeze for 10-20 minutes.
- For the second portion, add ⅓ cup strawberry jam and gelatin mixture (3 tbsps hot milk + 1 tsp gelatin).
- Pour the strawberry mixture over the set cream cheese layer. Refrigerate until fully set, approximately 4 hours or overnight.
- Before serving, top with whipped cream. Garnish with fresh strawberries.
