Not Staring at The Correct Speed

When you start mixing the ingredients together, it is better that you start the mixing process on a lower setting. Those ingredients you just put in haven't been mixed together properly, which means they could fly out of the bowl and splash on you and the whole kitchen. So please remember to always start at a slower pace before gradually increasing.

Not Using The Pouring Shield

Even if you start at a slower pace, you still run the risk of throwing ingredients out of the bowl. To prevent this, attach a pouring shield to your mixer. Whether you're using the slowest or highest speed, the shield will stop the raw materials from cluttering up the kitchen.

Not Checking Mixing Bowl Clearance

Always make sure the attachment is firmly in the ingredients you mix. A gap that's too high will mean that most of the batter is unmixed and unsuitable for baking, while a gap that's too low will just scratch the bottom of the mixing bowl and potentially damage the attachment.
